This Cookie Policy explains how ToolHubBase ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at toolhubbase.com and use our AI-powered online tools.
By using our services, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings or using our cookie preference center.
We use cookies primarily to enable essential features (like keeping you logged in), remember your preferences, and understand how people use our tools so we can improve them. We do not use cookies to track you across unrelated websites.
1 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners.
Similar Technologies We Use
- Session Storage — Temporary data stored in your browser that is cleared when the tab or window is closed. Used for tool state and upload progress.
- Local Storage — Persistent browser-side storage used for saving language preferences and UI settings.
- Cookie identifiers — Random identifiers stored in cookies to track anonymous usage sessions for free-tier quota enforcement.
2 How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- 🔐 Authentication — Keep you logged in during your session when you sign in with Google.
- ⚙️ Preferences — Remember your selected language (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) and interface theme.
- 🎁 Free-tier quota — Track anonymous (guest) usage to enforce the daily free usage limit per tool without requiring sign-up.
- 📊 Analytics — Understand which tools are most used, detect errors, and improve performance.
- 🛡️ Security — Protect against CSRF attacks and fraudulent requests.
3 Types of Cookies We Use
🟢 Strictly Necessary (Essential)
These cookies are required for the website to function. They cannot be disabled. Without them, services like login or tool access would not work.
🔵 Functional (Preference)
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your selected language or whether you've dismissed the cookie banner.
🟠 Analytics (Performance)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — which tools are popular, where errors occur, and how long actions take. All data is aggregated and anonymized.
🟣 Marketing (Not Currently Used)
We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before setting them.

5 Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use to operate ToolHubBase:
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our tools. We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled and data sharing disabled. The data collected is aggregated and cannot identify you individually.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google OAuth (Sign-in)
When you choose to "Sign in with Google," Google may set cookies on your device as part of the OAuth 2.0 authentication flow. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Stripe (Payments)
When you visit the Pricing page or initiate a purchase, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment security. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe cookies are only set when you interact with checkout functionality.
Cloudflare (CDN & Security)
Our infrastructure uses Cloudflare for DDoS protection and performance. Cloudflare may set a __cflb cookie for load balancing. This is a technical cookie with no tracking function.
6 Your Choices & Consent
What Happens If You Disable Cookies?
- Essential cookies disabled: You will not be able to log in, and tool processing may fail.
- Functional cookies disabled: Your language and preference settings will not be saved between visits.
- Analytics cookies disabled: No impact on functionality. We will simply have less data to improve our service.
- Guest quota cookies disabled: If
thb_guest_idis blocked, we may fall back to IP-based rate limiting for the free quota.
7 Managing Cookies via Browser Settings
Every major browser allows you to control cookies through its settings. Here are direct links to cookie management instructions for popular browsers:
| Browser | How to Manage Cookies |
|---|---|
| 🌐 Google Chrome | Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data |
| 🦊 Mozilla Firefox | Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data |
| 🧭 Apple Safari | Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data |
| 🔷 Microsoft Edge | Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data |
You can also use browser extensions like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or Cookie AutoDelete to manage cookies automatically.
Blocking all cookies may break functionality on many websites, not just ToolHubBase. We recommend only blocking third-party cookies if you want to limit tracking while keeping the service functional.
8 Guest Usage Tracking (Free Quota)
ToolHubBase offers a limited number of free tool uses per day without requiring registration. To enforce this daily limit fairly without collecting personal data, we use a cookie-based approach:
- On your first visit, we generate a random, non-personal identifier (
thb_guest_id) and store it in a cookie valid for 30 days. - Each time you use a tool, we check this identifier against our server-side usage log for today's date.
- When your daily quota is reached, we prompt you to sign in with Google to continue.
- The cookie contains no personal information — it is a random string only.
- Usage records are associated with the identifier and are automatically deleted after 30 days.
This quota system is specifically designed to avoid collecting personal data while still being able to offer a fair free tier. No email, IP address, or browsing history is permanently stored for guest tracking purposes.
If Guest Free Mode is Disabled
If our platform administrator disables the guest free mode, you will be redirected to sign in with Google before using any tool. In this case, the thb_guest_id cookie is not set.
9 Policy Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Display a notification on our website for registered users.
- Re-prompt cookie consent if we introduce new cookie categories that require it.
We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
